New Hampshire Municipal Funding & Project Assistance
There are several State of New Hampshire programs available to assist municipalities in providing waste management programs to residents. These include collecting funds for waste management through a motor vehicle registration fee fund and using the State's various waste management contracts to benefit from the often lower fees for large volume of materials (e.g. fluorescent bulbs). There is also a grant program to assist municipalities in developing a used oil recycling collection program.
Other programs are also available to municipalities nationwide to assist them in collecting materials such as the rechargeable battery program which is all free for the municipality!
